Q15: If many people think something is true, is it true?
I disagree with this statement. Just because the mass public belief in an image or message of someone or something, does not at all mean that it is genuinely true. Let me give an example:

During Stalin's rule, the Russian people suffered terribly; poverty and hunger were rampant throughout the country. However, the people respected Stalin and worshipped him as their "almighty leader" and gave numerous praises to him. However, was this really true? We can look back and laugh at them, but if we take their stand, they had been brainwashed through the use of constant propaganda: huge posters, immense statues, newspapers who praised him to the heavens, and the like. The then perception of Stalin was that he was a great and wise leader, who everyone else in the world should obey.

Now, was this opinion of Stalin really true? Stalin himself did little to deserve the much praise that he got, it was through the use of propaganda that he blew things out of proportion, which all contributed to the false image that was being portrayed of him.

Religion is similar. People have different views of religion, and everyone is entitled to his own personal view. Majority of the world might believe in, let's say, Religion A, but is it really true? Religion is controversial; there will not be a common ground. It is impossible to set up a council to declare that Religion A is the correct religion because the most people believe in it. There will always be people with different views from other people. Note that I’m not saying terrorism is correct here, but that we are entitled to our own beliefs and values. The belief of terrorists we cannot say wrong, but I can say that their acts of terror are wrong. Belief and translation into action are two different things entirely. We can jail Person X for committing a wrongdoing, but we cannot sentence Person Y to jail for life for believing the same things that terrorists do.

In Britain, one is allowed to have his own opinions and declare them, as long as no one is affected, something I learnt when I was there. You can impeach the Queen, say whatever you one about her, anywhere you want, but if no one takes into account anything you say, even the Queen herself cannot touch you. This is the ideal of true democracy, although idealistic concepts can never be fully translated into real life.

Even if everyone in the world beliefs in one single ideal, which is quite impossible, it might still not be right. Let's say that everyone believes that theft is acceptable. Then the whole world would be thrown into chaos. It seems quite epic, one man with his own ideals, against the entire world. It might not mean either party is wrong, it depends on the beliefs themselves.

Thus, I conclude that if many people thing that something is true, it might not be the case.

I hate word limits. Gah. had to summarise the whole thing to fit in 500 words... Sounds like Summary in comprehension...
